The students, families, faculty, and staff of Orchard Gardens K-8 Pilot School are consistently working to push boundaries and create opportunities for success. Our amazing first graders exemplified this to the best of their abilities when they had the once in a lifetime chance to perform in front of President Barack Obama in the White House. These precocious little scholars recited Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream,” while they themselves experienced what amounted to a dream. From being able to sit in the pilot’s chair on their trip down to having the opportunity to accept a hug from the Commander in Chief, this was surely an experience that will not be forgotten.
