Our partner, America SCORES Boston, invited the OGPS soccer team to be a part of their yearly gala celebration and youth soccer demonstration. Students had the opportunity to meet and spend time with US Women’s National Soccer Team player Heather O’Reilly, a newly minted Olympic Gold Medalist from this summer’s London Games.
After having the chance to show their soccer skills, the poetry portion of America SCORES Boston’s program was showcased by OGPS fifth grader, Lael Watson, who performed an original poem.
